More about the hotshots project

Launched by the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador in 2014, the Hotshots Project focuses on providing educational resources about saving energy to students and teachers throughout the province, including fact sheets and other resources that can be used in the classroom.

The Hotshots Project is being completed in collaboration with Newfoundland Power and Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro. These companies have jointly managed the takeCHARGE program to raise awareness about the importance of saving energy since 2008. By teaming up, the Hotshots Project and takeCHARGE program are offering free in-school presentations to students of kindergarten to grade six, as well as two contests (one contest for students of kindergarten to grade six and another for students of grades seven to twelve).
